Thanksgiving 2016

My parents flew in for Thanksgiving. We tried to take them to the Columbia Tower (tall black building below) but turns out they close 2 days every 5 years for maintenance and we went on one of those 2 days. Instead we took them to the Smith Tower just a few blocks away. It has an old world ambiance, they serve drinks at the top and there's quite a bit of history to this building. Sarah, Tobin, and Brody also came up Sunday to visit.

We wore him out.
We went to Redmond Town Center, rode the carousel and saw Santa.
It didn't go great...

San Diego in November

Turns out it's a lot nicer here than Seattle this time of year. We met up with Andrew's parents for the weekend.

The most important part of this trip, the dessert bar. It was glorious!

Here's everything else. It was almost just as glorious as dessert.

I clearly failed at taking pictures of the awesome people we hung out with all weekend, but the food and drinks are well documented.

I did get some photos in the afternoon before heading to the airport.

And on the airplane...

Casey is Solo in Seattle

Casey came for a last minute weekend visit! Nelson had to stay behind and work. We had a great, relaxing time with naps, food, and just catching up.

We went to the top of the Columbia Tower.

And the highlight of our adventures was The Chihuly Garden & Glass Museum.

Then Casey left, and it was the saddest. Thanks for coming to visit us Casey and sharing all your pictures of Carl!

Aiden has such a hard time with goodbyes now. It started in August. We try to be sensitive and give him warning and extra time for hugs and goodbye's, but he just gets so sad when anyone leaves. I kind of don't blame. I love having visitors.

Great Wolf Lodge

Instead of a birthday party this year, we took Aiden to Great Wolf Lodge for his birthday. Andrew also started the remaining 8 weeks of his paternity leave which allowed us to go in the middle of the week, so it was cheaper and less crowded. It was a huge success!
Aiden loved all the water slides. He could go on all but 2 of them, and by the evening of our first day he was going up and down over and over (and over and over and over) by himself.
They had story time, face painting, balloon animals, characters... I was surprised at all the additional entertainment they had.

Pancake breakfast in our room.
We stayed in a "wolf den" with bunk beds.

We played a little bit in the arcade.
They were both completely wiped out on the way home.
