Karaoke with the Vistas

It was Leigh's birthday and we celebrated by going to karaoke. Normally, this would never in a million years be my idea of a good time. BUT... I was very pleasantly surprised. We went to this place where each party gets their own room and only your group picks the songs, your waiter comes to your room and take your orders, everyone i our group just sang every song so no one was singled out. I would actually do it again!


I think Andrew was out of town for some reason... probably for the best that he missed this :)

Let the major renovations begin...

Lately I have been itching to start another house project and with Andrew's current free time we decided to take on one of our most intimidating projects. Two days ago Andrew started removing the tiled wall of our master bathroom tub while I was at work. We're hoping to divide and conquer by starting with the shower/tub.

This is the "before" photo. It's not a fully functioning shower, just a gigantic tub that our water heater cannot keep up with. We have a shower head attached to the spout and mounted on the wall.

Day 1, about 3 hours in I think, this is what I came home to...

End of Day 1 (after we cleaned up)

Day 2, the tub is free, Andrew is happy!

End of day 2, plumbing disassembled, electric disconnected, and the tub is out in one piece!

Rat City Rollergirls

I went to my first roller derby game with Debbie, Gabe and Mama Hinck this weekend. I think a good time was had by all!

A Quarter of a Century

We celebrated my birthday all weekend and the oreo ice cream cake actually lasted me all week. Lucky for me, Andrew isn't a huge fan of ice cream cake (I know, so wrong).
