Remember that time we went to The Reptile Zoo? Well, this time the man who owns The Reptile Zoo came to us and brought some of his creatures. We had a neighborhood party at our clubhouse with The Reptile Man and we invited Rambo, Axel, Ben and Will to join us. It was a big hit with the kids and adults.

A New Sleeping Chair
We got a new chair for our bedroom that folds out into a bed. Since we have a 2 bedroom house, we've realized that having the option to separate the boys some nights is necessary (if Oliver wakes Aiden up he has a place to come without climbing into our bed and ruining my sleep, or if one of them is sick we have flexibility change sleeping arrangements for a few nights). I imagine we should expect to have a kid in our room occasionally for the foreseeable future.
It's funny to see what Aiden's been doing before I come to bed and how he's fallen asleep.

A Mini Indiana Visit
Andrew's parents came in for a long weekend, so we decided to fly back to Indy with them. We stayed for about 5 days and then flew back to Seattle with my mom who was on spring break.
My birthday with the whole family (happiness).
Cousins!
Enjoying adult beverages after the boys (and meme) go to bed.
Flying home.

Sickness x2
Both boys came down with a bug this last week, one right after the other, so we spent a lot of time resting and watching movies.
Aiden is extremely miserable when he's sick, won't walk anywhere in the house, is barely happy watching an movie, and doesn't sleep well. There is no question when he's sick, and we soaked up some rare 4 year old snuggles.
Oliver on the other hand was just tired and less active, but didn't seem too unhappy about it. We realized he was feeling better when he commandeered my pad thai for dinner one night and finished half the container.
Andrew doesn't mind the down time we get when they're sick, but I get restless after a day or two. Andrew reminds me, it's a temporary shift in routine and expectations for a few days and it's okay to let things around the house slide for a bit. We go into survival mode temporarily and that's okay. I do sometimes need this reminder.
